Running!

Ok, so far the wieght loss has been very slow and well just hard! I have been doing weight watchers but I have not been working out. I am not very good at working out. Me and working out are just not friends, but on the long drive to Chinle for Christmas I had some time to think. I decided that I have trouble working out because I have no goals. So I decided that I am going to run a 1/2 marathon. That is right 13 miles! To prepare for this I am going to first train and start with a few 5k runs. Then work up to a 10k and then end with my 1/2 marathon in Logan, UT in September. So I started today and I walked about a 1 3/4 of a mile and ran 1/4 of a mile. I have not ran in a very long time so it was not easy, but it felt great to actually start! So I will be posting my progress as I train for my races! If there is anyone that would like to run with me that would be fun! If you have any tips I would love to hear them! I have seen running change peoples lives and I am hoping that it will help me to be more healthy! So here is day one! Today was good, I am sure tomorrow will be bad, and the next day ugly, but I am going to keep on going!

You ROCK girl! I say get a nike+ sensor (it hooks on any shoe), good toonage, and good shoes. Running will make you feel so much better and healthier. I will run it with you if I'm not pregnant. I ran the "See Jane Run" half last May. It was AWESOME. All women, flat course, and FUN! You should look into that one. I used Hal Higdon training program for beginners, just google it and it will pop up. GOOD LUCK!!!
